Physical Traits & Shedding: These crossbred sheep are typically medium to large-framed animals, exhibiting good muscling. A key benefit is their excellent shedding ability, inherited strongly from both sides. They grow a winter coat and then shed it cleanly in the spring/summer, completely eliminating the need for shearing and reducing issues like flystrike. Their appearance can vary depending on the parents, sometimes showing influence from the Dorper's distinct black head or all-white pattern, mixed with the varied Katahdin colors.
